Cytotechnologist – Manager
Qualifications: Completion of accredited
cytology program. Minimum of 5 years of full time experience as a
cytotechnologist. Must have a current State of California
Department of Public Health Cytotechnology license and ASCP
certification.
Responsibilities to include:

Demonstrates knowledge of cytology criteria necessary for
accurate interpretation of gyn and non-gyn cytology.

Keep necessary records and documentation as per APMG protocol
and following CLIA and State requirements.

Stay current on all CME requirements

Spend no less than eight (8) hours a day to complete daily
workload, not to exceed prorated and hourly limit determined by
the maximum workload limit.

Monitor daily workload of each cytotechnologist making sure
daily maximum is not exceeded.

Responsible for monitoring hours of each cytotechnologist for
payroll purposes.

Assist the Medical Director and CEO in the implementation of all
procedures in the Department of Cytology.

Conducts performance reviews.

Maintain supplies and negotiate with vendors.

Communicates information to staff on an on-going basis.

Maintains a leadership role to staff members.

Tabulate, review, and maintain monthly laboratory statistics.
-
Tabulate, review, and maintain each cytotechnologist’s
statistics
-
Compile monthly and yearly reports on cases and diagnoses.

Assist the CEO in evaluation of the cytotechnologist’s periodic
review.

Assist the CEO in the implementation of and the monitoring of
disciplinary action for each cytotechnologist.

Specific administrative duties as assigned and needed.

Security/HIPAA Access Level 4.
