APMG Adds BD SurePathTM PAP Test to Women's Health Test Menu - Associated Pathology Medical Group (APMG) is pleased to announce that it has added the BD SurePath PAP test to its menu of women's health diagnostics. The SurePath PAP will be offered in addition to the ThinPrep PAP test, the other leading liquid-based cytology preparation. Because the collection device used with the SurePath PAP is deposited directly into the PAP vial along with all collected material, the SurePath test can be especially useful in offices and patient populations where adequate cellularity of PAP specimens is sometimes an issue. The SurePath test features a proprietary cell enrichment process that separates and removes obscuring debris, including lubricant, allowing the cytologist to better visualize patients' clinically relevant cells.
