APMG Commences Testing for Bacterial Vaginosis at Los Gatos Facility - January 22, 2007 - Associated Pathology Medical Group (APMG) is today pleased to announce that it has commenced testing for bacterial vaginosis (BV) at its facility in Los Gatos, CA. APMG previously offered testing for the organisms that most commonly cause BV (Candida, Gardnerella and Trichomonas), but this testing was done through a secondary reference laboratory. APMG personnel will now be conducting this testing on-site via the BD Affirm VP III test. Bringing this testing in-house will greatly improve turnaround times for APMG clients who utilize it, and will allow APMG lab directors to directly review the testing.
